- May I see what I got wrong on the test?
- No, GCU only shares the final score and suggested course placement.
- Do I need to take the College Mathematics Placement Exam or the Algebra Placement Exam?
- Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Computer Programming, Engineering, Exercise Science, Information Technology, Athletic Training, Business Information Systems, Mathematics for Secondary Education, and Forensic Sciene majors need to take the Algebra Placement Exam.
All other majors may take the College Mathematics Placement Exam.
- How does my score affect my class placement?
- English
- A score of 70% or higher allows a student to enroll in ENG-105.
- A score less than 70%, allows a student to enroll in UNV-100.
- Music Theory
- This assessment, along with the performance audition, will be considered when evaluating acceptance into chosen music program.
- College Mathematics
- A score of 70% or higher allows a student to enroll in MAT-144.
- A score less than 70%, allows a student to enroll in MAT-110.
- Algebra
- A score 90% or higher allows a student to enroll in MAT-252/262/351.
- A score between 70-89% allows a student to enroll in MAT-250/261.
- A score between 40-69% allows a student to enroll in MAT-154.
- A score less than 39%, allows a student to enroll in MAT-110.
- Spanish
- A score 90% or higher allows a student to enroll in SPA-224.
- A score between 51-89% allows a student to enroll in SPA-214.
- A score between 25-50% allows a student to enroll in SPA-105.
- A score less than 25%, allows a student to enroll in SPA-104.
